A Visionary in Theatre Arts and Youth Empowerment

Driven by deep Christian values and a passion for the performing arts, Ronald Were also known as Otis Otas is the visionary behind The Creative Thespians Afrikanas. A staunch believer in the existence of a living God, Otis Otas credits the Church as the foundation where his artistic journey began. From a young age, he actively participated in Catholic Church drama and music festivals, where he discovered and nurtured his talent in live theatre arts.

Recognizing his growing potential as a creative leader, Otis Otas began directing and scripting performances for churches and educational institutions as early as 2010. His dedication to the craft led him to further his expertise at the Kenya Youth National Talent Academy (2011–2012), a program under UNICEF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he gained professional training in scripting, producing, and directing theatrical works.

Over the years, Otis Otas has built a distinguished career as an Artistic Director, working with numerous churches, schools, and colleges across Kenya. His ability to blend traditional African performance with modern storytelling has made him a sought-after trainer for Kenya’s national drama and music festivals.
